What does not belong to bulky waste?

All items that fit in the residual waste bin by size or belong to recycling, such as

  • cardboard boxes and packaging,
  • Electrical appliances
  • Wooden pallets from the commercial sector
  • Treated outdoor wood (treated wood from outdoor use), such as:
    • Fences
    • Wooden flooring for terraces/balconies
    • Garden houses
    • garden furniture
    • Palisade wood
    • Privacy walls
    • Railroad sleepers
    • Firewood
  • Waste from remodeling and renovation work, such as:
    • Stones, building rubble, windows, front doors, timber, trusses, rafters, washbasins and toilet bowls. These count as construction site waste.
  • Hazardous waste (hazardous waste) such as:
    • Varnishes, paints, flammable substances. These wastes are to be handed in at the recycling centers.
  • Night storage heaters and other objects in which asbestos has been processed (for example corrugated cement): They must be removed and disposed of by special companies.
  • Car and motorcycle parts (vehicle recyclers)
  • Beanbags / seat cushions: These are almost always filled with polystyrene beads, which can burst in the press, and the filling material is dispersed. The beanbags can be returned free of charge to the recycling centers.
